The visual research
the braille books
In the last couple of months I have been never better really. I love what i do; working along side with typographic elements. The sun has come back to it happiness and giving us some sweet heat!
A couple of weeks ago Paul (printmaker/housemate) gave me a present, a bunch of braille books. I generally hate really hate presents but where you can nearly never go wrong is with books; only thing never buy me a translated version of a French novel in English I will give it back to you and not in the most delicate way.
Typographically talking about braille books you can’t really see type but gosh, amazing texture. I figured out that one was a kind of bible and the other ones where essays.
So while working on a 1001 other projects and having really bad migraines, I wanted to finish or do a sequential of The Outsider Haiku. The little book that I made a couple of years back. As I have been working within the dot and type I wanted to explore the dot within myself .
I realised that I no longer have physical practice with the impact of the ink against the page, and needed to go back to my roots of dirtiness.
